Welcome
to my web site! Thank you for visiting.
NewMoon
German Shepherds was officially established in 1996. We are curently
located in a small suburb of
Green Bay, Wisconsin. We are small-time hobbyists with a passion
for German Shepherds.
My husband and I currently have five German Shepherds. They are
not kennel dogs, but members of our family.
We compete in AKC style obedience and conformation, and also share
interest in other activities with our dogs.
We plan to pursue herding, agility and tracking in the near future.
We are members of the Packerland
Kennel Club, the German Shepherd Dog Club of Wisconsin, and the
German
Shepherd Dog Club of America.
We have produced only two litters in the past twelve years, and
are planning a very special litter in the Summer of 2001.
We believe
that every German Shepherd available to the public should be a
good representative of the breed.
This means the dog should look, feel, sound and act like a German
Shepherd Dog.
While correct conformation is pleasing to the eye, the total dog
must posess the temperament outlined in the standard.
"The
ideal dog is a working animal with an incorruptable character
combined with body and gait
suitable for the arduous work that constitutes its primary purpose."
- German Shepherd Dog Club of America Breed Standard
Every
dog that leaves our kennel carries our kennel name, and we work
hard to make sure
that it is a dog we are proud to claim as our own.
To that
end, our commitment to the German Shepherd Dog is to continue
to learn,
and to teach those we touch through our dogs.
"Without
type, a dog is not fit to be called a German Shepherd.
Without temperament, a German Shepherd is not fit to be called
a dog."
