Shayde was born a "little old man". He was always "Mr. Serious" to the point that he had to be taught, in his older years, to play. He was always obedient, never complaining that you asked him to do something. And when he learned to play, he loved both his basketballs and the squeeky toys. But he wasn't really sure about what to do with the Shibas!

Shayde was diagnosed with cancer in the fall of 2004 and wasn't expected to live to the New Year. We've been treating him with Chinese Herbal Medicine and Reiki as there was nothing that traditional medicine could do and we just wanted him to have a good quality of life. He left us on January 3, 2004.
